Mean Girls!!

Most of those who know me known I am from the west coast. I currently live in the South and have had a hard time with their "cultural norms". Since I don't officially start my grad school program till the fall I thought I would take some simple courses. One of the classes I decided to take was Georgia history. I figured it would give me a better understanding of the place I live and maybe help me hate it less. LoL Anyway, it's a 100 level class which means freshmen and teenagers. Being from the west coast I talk like someone from the west coast. Most of the little girls in my class talk with slow southern drawls(totally nothing wrong with this). They think my accent, speech pattern, is fun to make fun of. It's childish and shows their age, but it still bothers me. I haven't said anything to them because it's just not worth my time ,but I would love to tell them to shut the HELL up and grow up!
